Approximated.app is an API/IAAS platform designed to simplify custom domain connections for web applications. The service offers automatic SSL for unlimited domains and subdomains through dedicated reverse proxy clusters, with each cluster providing a unique anycast IP address for geo-routing.

Key Technical Features

The platform enables quick domain integration through a simple API, automatically handling SSL verification in seconds. Users can add virtual hosts for domains, subdomains, or specific paths. Current user base includes tens of thousands of domains running through the service’s clusters.

Future Roadmap

The creator plans to implement edge caching (nearly complete), DDoS mitigation, and is exploring potential future capabilities like serverless worker colocation and distributed app support. Notably, the project was developed while balancing personal life, including welcoming a new baby in summer 2021.
