Project Overview
Panelbear is a private web analytics suite designed to offer a more comprehensive solution compared to existing alternatives like Plausible, Fathom, and Simple Analytics. The project was launched in 2020 and has already achieved millions of page views per month across 200+ customers, though not yet reaching $500 MRR.
Technical Architecture
The platform is built using a modern tech stack including Python, React, Postgres, Clickhouse, and Redis, deployed on Kubernetes with infrastructure managed via Terraform and Kustomize. Initially hosted on DigitalOcean and Linode, the project has recently transitioned to AWS.
